when the bandages came off
Although I found the scars initially a bit alarming I got used to them very quickly and have grown to love them. The whole Drainage Tubes thing was a new experience that I wasn't prepared for. They were inconvenient and, frankly, kind of gross. I got used to them after a while though. I decided to have my friend and photographer document my healing process. drainage tube fiasco
After my tubes came out (either removed by a competent doctor or on their own free will) I had to keep my chest tightly wrapped underneath my compression bra to make sure no more gross liquid made a return appearance. I wore this wrap and my compression bra for several weeks.
