There is usually a very, very long wait to get procedures done at the clinic. I was fortunate to get my original appointment so early, but then, to get bumped up was extremely rare. I knew how lucky I was and when the Doctor asked me if I would like the appointment I jumped at the chance.
THE DAY BEFORE I GO IN FOR MY OPERATION
Right before going into the operating room. I was nervous and oddly relieved. The cancer was going to be taken out of me. Whatever else happened, at least I knew that it would be gone. I had to take off my wedding ring before I went in. I pressed it into my Husband's hand and I knew everything would be okay.
I know my son, friends and family were worried about me, so, I posted this picture on Facebook as soon as I was conscious after surgery to, once again, let everyone know that I was not only okay but that I was strong. It was important to me to make my son laugh.
